Counselor & Administrator Conferences
School counselors play a key role in promoting Project Lead the Way to students and parents. To successfully enroll students in appropriate PLTW courses counselors need a solid understanding of the program and the curriculum, especially when students are considering engineering technology as a career or have strong aptitude in science and math.
As part of the PLTW/School District Agreement, counselors advising students on the PLTW program need to attend a Counselors Conference every five years. At the conference you will learn about the PLTW history and course curriculum and receive current information to share with your interested students and parents.
Increase knowledge of Project Lead the Way and its benefits to students.
Increase awareness of the United States workforce needs in engineering and related fields.
Make connections between Project Lead the Way and post-secondary success.
Materials are designed to benefit both new and experienced PLTW schools.
Counselor & Administrator Conference dates will be determined based off of requests.
A registration confirmation will be sent via e-mail prior to the workshop. Call Carly Uuskallio at (414) 277-7594 with any questions. The registration fees are non-refundable if you are unable to attend.
